TCD OPINION

Gewürztraminer is aromatically stunning and in this example we have no exception. A great food wine, if you're not drinking Gewürztraminer, although not traditionally Italian, we recommend you try one.
A very special wine. Once tasted, never forgotten - so pleasing is its aromatic richness and strength. Fine spices, cloves and the gentle fragrance of roses characterise and emphasise the traits and the overall elegance of this impressive wine. It is here, on the hills between Termeno and Appiano, that the Gewürztraminer grape originated. The wine is an ideal accompaniment to fish dishes, especially crustaceans, lobster and crab or to foie gras and other pâtés. Yet it is also a fine wine for enjoying on its own.

TCD Score: 88/100
88 Points for a solid Gewürztraminer from one of the Alto Adige's finest producers. Perhaps you've tried Alsace of Germany Gewürztraminer, why not go Italian and see what the Alto Adige can do?
