From its origins, to the start of the previous century when ownership changed hands, the Company Agricola ORLANDI CONTUCCI PONNO has a long tradition in Italian Winemaking. Situated on the foothills of the valley of the Vomano river, 2 kilometers from the Adriatic and less than twenty or so the chain of the Great Pebble (m.2920), the vineyards enjoys a climatically privileged position benefitting as well from the cooling effects of the sea, the mountain breezes and the heat of the summer nights, giving the vines an optimum life cycle. The processes are essential to the development of the organolectic qualities of the grapes and above all in order to guarantee the scent and the “bouquet” of the wines. The Orlandi vineyards have a particular limestone soil that is exceptional for vines of the Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Cabernet grapes. They were originally imported directly from France. The vineyard has recently added some clones from Montepulciano de Abruzzo that can favourably compete with local varieties.Roseto degli Abruzzi (Te)
