This wine from the Campania region scores 85. The Irpinia Aglianico is traditionally the cheapest expression of the Aglianico grape but being a little more mellow than a full blown Taurasi isn't always a bad thing. This is a great table wine and works perfectly to compliment most meat and pasta dishes.
The wine has a bitter chocolate character but the primary flavour is of dried figs or prunes.
